Camporee 2013 Bitterroot District

Camporee last weekend at Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge in Stevensville and an undisclosed property east of Stevensville. A great presentation by the Metcalf staff including waterfowl identification, owl sounds, and more. The boys successfully ID 25 different bird species.

Trout Creek Campout

We had a camp out at Trout Creek this past weekend. It was a blast. We planted trees ate great food and crossed the creek.

5 Mile walk

The troop took a 5 mile (turned out to be 6.4 miles) hike at lake Como to see the falls. Was a great walk in the rain.
We once were dry, no longer so!

The boys successfully counted 10 native plants and animals, worked on leave no trace, worked on the buddy system and reviewed what to do when someone is choking. Was a lot of fun. Thanks Steve for setting it up!
